After 15 years of practice Julia journeyed to India to train with Mark Ansari in the Ashtanga lineage. This was the start of her teaching path which began in 2009. Since then she has studied with Sadie Nardini in her inaugural Core Strength Vinyasa training, with Andrew Appello in Advanced Anatomy and Ayurveda, and currently with Yogarupa Rod Stryker in his 300hr ParaYoga Master Training. Her classes are a vibrant mix of dynamic holds and breath centered movement. In keeping with the tradition of classical yoga, Julia fills her classes with much more than just asanas, which are only a small part of the yoga practice. History, philosophy, pranayama and meditation are all part of every themed class. Julia's passion is to share what she finds to be the most important aspect of teaching yoga, honoring the sacred lineage and sharing the practice as a complete system.
