"While I started practicing yoga since college in Wisconsin, I found yoga as a way to heal my body both mentally and physically after finishing ovarian cancer treatment in 2006. Although I am a formally trained Sivananda (type of hatha) teacher, I have been practicing ashtanga yoga for the last five years because I enjoy the rigour and discipline of the asana series. I regularly travel to the Mysore, India to study with R. Sharath Jois and continue my studies with Eddie Stern in NYC. This practice has transformed my body by not only increasing my flexibility but also my strength, and I and others have noticed I am a much calmer and happier person. I would love to share the ashtanga yoga practice with the Princeton community."
